I’m a BTEC Level 5 qualified Soft Tissue Massage Therapist specialising in a variety of advanced massage techniques.
Soft Tissue Release
Soft Tissue Release is the manipulation of soft tissue through specific application of pressure, combined with mobilisation of the associated joint.
Muscle Energy Techniques
Muscle Energy Techniques (MET's) are manipulative treatments in which clients actively use muscular effort from a controlled position and in a specific direction against a counter-force from the therapist.
Postural assessments can help to identify pelvis and posture imbalances.
Sports Massage can help increase circulation, promote relaxation and help to identify potential problems/injuries. Sports massage can also help assist in minor soft tissue injuries.
Connective Tissue Massage
Connective tissue in the body is like a complex web around muscles and skin. Massaging these fibres can benefit the area and function of the tissue surrounding the joint.
Positional release is the positioning of an area to bring about a physiological response which helps ease and is some cases can resolve chronic pain.
General massage and remedial massage is key to restoring function to joints and surrounding soft tissues. This can restore neuromuscular function to the area.
